Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
A special item can be used to transform certain Pokemon. The Upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize at Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools to raise their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests based on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment that has an upgrade slot available. The majority of upgrade components require that the item to be upgraded is at a certain level. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are inserted into an item, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and reinserted freely.
Insignias and enchantments will be displayed their names on the item's hover display, while upgrades that have a suffix or prefix will add their names to the end of the equipment's name (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters along with normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols, as well as glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives a primary stat boost for the character. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats which will influence its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by additional bonuses, except for Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a window with the Glyphs that are available to you. You are only able to apply the correct Glyph to the item you are looking for. Each weapon, jewelry, or armor piece has a different collection of Glyphs.
Glyphs can be improved by completing Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more challenging the dungeon is, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph reaches level 15, it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a glyph has been upgraded to its desired level, you can activate it by selecting it, then pressing the "enchant" button. The Glyph you create will provide its stated benefit, and increase the number of nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go where they will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. The glyphs that are rare may offer dual bonuses when certain conditions are satisfied and therefore are worth checking out for.
If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of different views. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by selecting an option beneath "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
